It seems like there is an on going debate on TwoPlusTwo.com Forums about who would win in a Freeze Out No-Limit Holdem match between Stu Ungar and Phil Ivey. Most Twoplustwo posters seem to pick Phil Ivey saying poker has gone a long way since Stu Ungar would dominate no limit tournaments.
To stir the plot David Sklansky asked Doyle Brunson and Johnny Chan who they think would win and they both choose Stu Ungar. David Sklansky says he doesn't have an opinion about who he thinks would win but just passing on the message.
It with out a doubt seems like a very interesting question and one that will never be answered with certainty because Stu Ungar is obviously dead. If i was to pick i would say Phil Ivey would win hands down because although Stu Ungar beat full ring tournaments he was a fish in the big cash games where Ivey dominates both especially the biggest cash games in the world.

the words Stu Ungar and fish dont belong in the same language, let alone the same sentence, thus speaks the voice of inexperience and ignorance, Stu Ungar was the GREATEST EVER! PERIOD.
